NEC’S SP350 Softphone provides the ultimate multi-media bridge, so even when employees aren’t face-to-face, they can work like they are.

A host of features includes audio and video conferencing, so meetings and quick catch-up calls can include all the relevant players. So Sam and Ted can use audio and video to discuss the next big project in detail.

Presence allows the Softphone to keep track of where co-workers are, and when they’re available, so phone calls can be routed to those who can take them right away. Sally can check the Presence minder to see who is available now to talk to a client regarding a sales proposal.

The SP350 allows remote and mobile user functions through a Virtual Private Network Internet connection, so application and data sharing is a snap.

Here’s how application sharing works:

Real- time information, regardless of where employees are located, whether it’s in the same building, across town, in Chicago or Tokyo, can be accessed real time and at the same time.
 
How? Using write in text or insert graphics features, multiple users can “touch” the file document and implement art or copy directly, while collaborating together using the Softphone.

A mark-up pen allows participants to highlight, or red line, specific text for further discussion or editing. A whiteboard is available for use to create, review or manipulate work in real-time, and files can be created directly in Microsoft Word® or PowerPoint® documents.

What’s more, up to 16 users can file share at one time through peer-to-peer or conference call features, so everyone can have a say in completing the next stellar project proposal and put their stamp on the result.

What’s more, instant message and chat, file transfer, and call log and record are features enhancing the SP350 toolbox, while keeping track of data, people, contacts and work flows.
